The eco-beam system

More and more people are talking about and looking for affordable, efficient green building.

 

Consider the rising utility costs, water restrictions, electricity shortages along with the increased cost in construction, green house emissions and poor waste disposal ….no wonder builders, developers and architects are all exploring alternative methods of building.

 

Green building is based on creating harmony. This harmony has to exist between a structure and it’s natural area and at the same time developing energy sufficient structures by focusing on water, energy, materials and waste.

 

The first step to green building is based in construction and such a system exist in the Eco-Beam and sandbag system.

 

This system was developed and patented in South Africa ten years ago by engineer Mike Tremeer. 

 

The building process, which can be undertaken easily without using highly skilled labour, is very simple and owner-builders can complete many of the stages that are involved themselves.
