Q: What is the per sqaure metre cost to build with Sandbags ?
A: We can not provide you with an accurate cost without the architecht's plans. We require these plans in CAD format in order for us to provide a quotation of the exact number and sizes of eco-beams to be used.
Q: How big are the sandbags and how much sand is needed to fill a bag ?
A: Each sand bag when full is approximately 220mm wide x 687mm long x 80mm thick and weighs 7 - 8 kg. There 52 sandbags to a per square metre of wall.
Q: Is this method of building SABS approved ?
A: This product conforms to all NHBRC codes, standards and regulations applicable to all NHBRC registered builders. The following SABS tests were conducted and approved:
- Rain penetration (1996)
- Soft body impact testing (1996)
- Structural Integrity (1996)
- The SABS approval reference numbers are 4471/88157 and 812/87574
